While visiting the region of Tyre, Jesus was approached by a Gentile woman who was seeking healing for her daughter. When she cast herself at His feet, the Lord said, ‘Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs’. Mar 7:27. At face value, this response may seem stark and unkind, but Jesus was highlighting two very important truths. Firstly, healing is the children’s bread.
